"WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS BY THE AUCTIONEER ONCE ALL BIDS HAVE BEEN PROCESSED TO DETERMINE THE WINNER FOR EACH LOT."
Autograph letter signed by Colonel James Burd of the Pennsylvania militia, shortly after the Colonial victory at Bunker Hill. Dated 8 July 1775, Burd writes of his belief that the British will soon change their opinion of the inspired American soldiers: ''…I think they will have Reason by & by for England to alter their opinion of the Americans. But all the while this experience will be dearly bought by the Nation, we are constantly longing for news from our Noble armey before Boston…'' Two-page quarto letter in very good condition.
