Two items: a FDC with a cachet honoring the gift of a Japanese Peace Bell to the United Nations, signed in English and Japanese in fountain pen, "Mitsuo Fuchida"; and semi-glossy 3.25 x 4.5 head-and-shoulders photo of Minoru Genda, signed in black felt tip, "M. Genda." In overall fine condition.

One of Japan's most skilled fliers, Fuchida (1902–1976) commanded the air attack against Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and was the last to leave the battle area. After World War II, Fuchida converted to Christianity and became a nondenominational preacher, traveling frequently to America and later becoming a US citizen.

Genda was a Japanese military aviator and politician (1904-1989) who is best known for helping to plan the Pearl Harbor attack; he was also the third chief of staff of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.
