Peabody breech loading rifle, .43 Spanish cal., 33” round barrel, blue and case hardened finish, full wood stocked, later military leather sling, #NVSN in overall very good to near fine condition showing the majority of its original blue and case colors; fine bore, crisp action, good markings and overall very good wood butt stock and forend; iron cleaning rod maintained; manufactured by the Providence Tool Co. circa 1866-71, total quantity approx. 116,000 per Flayderman’s; the greatmajority of production was for foreign contracts.
