French poet, essayist, and philosopher (1871-1945). ALS in French, one page, 4.5 x 7, no date. Letter to an unidentified friend. In part: “Forgive me a little late responding to your gracious call. While I was looking for your invitation to the campaign, I returned to Paris…my tribute of friendship and admiration.” In fine condition, with a bit of scattered mild toning. Only the second we have ever offered.
