This attractive two-canister set comes from Paul Storie Pottery in Marshall, Texas. It is hand-made and hand-decorated with a flow blue, cobalt type of glaze on a light, cream-colored stoneware background. The Paul Storie Pottery was established in 1981 in Marshall, Texas. Its product niche is food-usable stoneware in a range of items for serving and storing food.

These matched canisters (with lids) have a traditional stoneware storage jar shape and show a rural scene with barn and pine tree in the foreground backed by a far-off mountain. There are birds in flight. This design is on the front only. This item is similar to Item PO-611106.

The larger of the two canisters is 8 inches tall and approximately 7 inches wide. It is 5 1/4 inches across the top and 5 1/4 inches at the base. The smaller is 6 1/4 inches tall and nearly 6 inches wide. It is 5 1/4 inches across the top and between 4 1/8 and 4 1/4 inches at the base. Both canisters are marked with the circular "Paul Storie Pottery, Marshall, TX" on the bottom.

These items are 1980s vintage: some were featured at the Cracker Barrel restaurants two decades ago. Both canisters are in near mint condition!
