French neo-impressionist painter (1863-1935) who, working with Georges Seurat, helped develop the Pointillist style. Wonderful original pencil sketch of the rising landscape of Mount Pirchiriano in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy, with the famous Sacra di San Michele, or Saint Michael's Abbey, dominating the peak and skyline, accomplished by Signac on an off-white 7 x 4.75 album page, who adds "Turi" in the upper left; the reverse bears handwritten notes in French by the artist. In fine condition.
