French neo-impressionist painter (1863 - 1935) who, working with Georges Seurat, helped develop the Pointillist style. ALS in French, one page both sides, 5.5 x 4, Societe des Artistes Independants letterhead, no date. Signac writes an unidentified gentleman. In full (translated): “I leave Tuesday, June 3, but if you can come Monday at 3:30 at my studio, 14 rue de l’Abbaye, I would be happy to find out about your projects. If not, it would be best to wait for my return for a new meeting. Please have faith in my feelings of artistic fraternity and devotion.” In fine condition, with a small upper left corner crease, spots of toning, and a couple of spots of smeared text.
