This is an excellent authentic original work of art by famed artist Paul Reevis and is titled, “Blackfeet Confederacy”. Paul Reevis is an enrolled member of the Blackfeet tribe and his work is described as Norman Rockwell like depictions of Native American life and mythology. Reevis attended the Blackfeet Community College located in Browning. The piece shows the image of three Blackfeet American Indian warriors on horseback. The warriors are shown with shields and spears with decorations of eagle feathers on the spears and headdress'. The background depicts blue storm clouds with dark fields extending into the beyond. The painting is signed in the bottom right hand corner reading "PL Reevis 4-16" and is set into a custom black wood frame. The piece shows good condition overall with some light wear on the frame. The frame measures 45 1/4" wide by 37" tall with the art measuring 39" wide by 37" tall. Similar works of a smaller size have sold regularly for upwards of $3,000-$4,000 making this truly a wonderful work of art.
