Paul Newman autograph letter signed, dated 16 April 1953 from New York. Letter is addressed to theater critic Robert White and discusses a column White wrote critiquing Newman favorably. The famed actor also reminiscences about visiting his brother at college in Oxford, Ohio: ''...I was first introduced to 3.2 beer, a beverage of which I am now extremely fond: more so in the 6% bottle...'' Letter, measuring 6.5'' x 10'' on 2pp. front and verso, has two minor folds, else near fine with nice, bold signature.
