Paul McCartney/Ringo Starr Rare Combination Autograph On One Page From 11/20/1963 Concert Manchester England - It would take the pluck and vinegar of a 15 year old English School girl to cause such a truly delightful "riff" between what was to become the most famous musical group in history. Having waited by the stage door of the Apollo Theater/ ABC Cinema in Ardwick Green, Manchester England for the arrival of The Beatles for a live sold-out concert, on November 20th, 1963, the future legendary superstar music Public Relations Executive, Teresa Doherty, approached her very favorite, John Lennon, for an autograph. However, all four boys, thinking she wanted all their autographs signed her book on one page. Of course she was thrilled, but still wanted a solo outing with John, and approached him again! He was impressed by her determination and signed the book a second time. However Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney saw this and wondered aloud why he got such special treatment, causing one of their soon-to-be-famous faux-arguments amongst themselves! Delighted to have such attention, let along all these signatures, Teresa went into the theater to see the concert. She also became part of the classic Pathe newsreel of this famous concert, as well as part of a wonderful story, as she stood on a chair in the theater to get a better look at the "Fab Four", fell on her face, and was carried out on a stretcher by ambulance attendants, yet, not wanting to miss any of the concert, jumped off the stretcher and ran back (with very inured legs!) to her seat to see the rest of the show! This is that treasured autograph of Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney from that magical historical day. Individual autographs of the Beatles, as well as those with all four on one page are rare enough, but to have two on a page, especially in the combination of Ringo and Paul is extremely rare indeed! This amazing duo autograph treasure has been lovingly stored in Teresa's autograph book for over fifty years. It is in excellent condition, the inks as vibrant today as they were in 1963. As an extra bonus, on the back of the signed Beatles' page is another autograph that Teresa obtained the same year of legendary British actress Eileen Derbyshire, who for the past 54 years (and counting!) has starred in England's most beloved and longest running TV Series, "Coronation Street". She plays Emily Bishop (née Emily Nugent, née Emily Swain) and has done so for over 1, 150 episodes! The remarkable Beatles treasure comes with a detailed Letter of Provenience from Teresa Doherty herself. Teresa and The Beatles can be seen in that classic Pathe Concert Newsreel YOUTUBE link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nkTgIYflm4. Autograph page is 4.5"x4".
