Original handwritten draft lyrics by Paul McCartney for the song "Through Our Love," penned by McCartney on the reverse of an 8.25 x 11.75 call sheet for the 1984 film Give My Regards to Broad Street. The unsigned lyrics, in full: “INTRO / We—wasted time + again / On things—things we already knew, / Born to do / To give my love to you… / VERSE / …Whenever you get some time / Whenever you get some time / I'd like to roll it all / up in a ball / And spend it with you / You've got the power of love / And love has the power / to make it come true / CHORUS / We can go / thru / (or here we go) / through our love / We can do things that we thought / were impossible (OR we can see things that we thought were invisible) / Through our love / We can see where / we are going to (OR we can know what we are going to do) / …PAUSE… / through / …our love / REPEAT / ‘Through our love’ (further away) / INTRO CHORDS—scat on dat— / VERSE / Instrumental—answered by voice? / Whenever we get some time / [repeat] Oh some time! / I’d like to roll it all up in a ball / + spend it with you.” McCartney pens in the upper right corner, “Ashford/Charing X,” indicating that the lyrics were likely penned while en route on the South Eastern main line. In fine condition, with two torn binder holes to the right side. Accompanied by albums for Pipes of Peace and the soundtrack to Give My Regards to Broad Street, both of which are unsigned and include their vinyl records. Also includes a notarized letter of authenticity from Craig Inciardi, a curator at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Released in mid-October 1983, McCartney’s fourth studio album, Pipes of Peace, was delayed due to filming commitments for Give My Regards to Broad Street and to ensure that enough time had elapsed from his previous record, Tug of War. ‘Through Our Love,’ the final track on Pipes of Peace, was one of five songs recorded at McCartney's Sussex farmhouse studio in September–October 1982, with the majority of the others written and recorded during the 1981 sessions for Tug of War; a pair of duets with pop megastar Michael Jackson, ‘Say Say Say’ and ‘The Man,’ were recorded in Los Angeles and London over a three-year period. Given his filming obligations, McCartney used his down time prudently, working over song lyrics while traveling to shoot the film’s non-musical scenes during the initial weeks of production in the fall of 1982. Handwritten lyrics from McCartney are extremely rare, with this example augmented furthermore by being an original piece of songwriting from the legendary Beatles bass player.
