This is the photograph ‘Waiting Room’ by the British photographer Paul Graham. The photograph is verso in black pen titled, inscribed, dated and signed ‘Waiting Room, Southwark […], London, 1984, Printed 1986, Fuji 02, Type-C, Paul Graham’. The photograph is slightly wavy and verso are two small remains of glue of a film band mount. The print shows yellow staining, which are in the coating and thereby no damage. The photograph is verso mounted on the upper rim on cardboard. The image size is 38 x 47.8 cm and the sheet measures 40.5 x 50.7 cm. The dimensions, including the frame, are 38 x 47.8 cm.



Paul Graham (b. 1956)

Paul Graham’s work focuses on photo essays of the social reality. He employs the digital technique and stands in the tradition of British social documentary photography, which was established by the Hamburg photographer Bill Brandt. In 2010, he was a fellow of the Guggenheim Foundation. His work is represented in numerous important collections and has been exhibited for example in Germany at Deichtorhallen and Museum Folkwang and in New York in the Museum of Modern Art. He took part in the Venice Biennale in 2001. He has been awarded with the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize (2009) and the Hasselblad Prize (2012). The artist lives and works in New York. (tm)
