Up for sale this rare vintage men's Patek Philippe ultra-thin wristwatch reference #3739/1, in a heavy solid 18k yellow-gold elegant-shaped case with the integrated 18k solid-gold Patek Philippe bracelet, manufactured in 1967-68. The watch is large and heavy with a width 36 mm not counting a winding crown and a total weight of 95 gm

The watch has an absolutely flat thin shape, so it's hard to imagine that this 5 mm thin watch is automatic with a rotor moving inside.

The secret behind its incredible thinness lies in the marvelous microrotor Patek Philippe 240 caliber movement. that is just 2.5 mm thin. In this timepiece, the mainspring is wound by a micro-rotor, which is set in motion by wrist movements.

The rotor is crafted from almost pure 22K solid-gold because the high specific gravity of the precious metal optimizes the kinetic energy yield. The rotor is heavy enough to act as a full-size rotor in other automatic watches.

The Patek Philippe 240 caliber movement, developed far back in 1960's, has become so successful that it still remains as one of the main calibers in the line of Patek watches, and became the basis for many models, including perpetual calendars and a famous Patek Philippe Celestial Grand Complications watch.

The movement is stamped with a Geneva Hallmark (Poinçon de Genève), epitomizing excellence and perfection of Swiss mechanical watches gold era. The movement has been just fully overhauled and serviced by a certified watchmaker, and is excellent-running and keeping time.

The 18k solid-gold beautifully textured ""Guillochet"" dial, as well as the bracelet, have a beautiful pyramidal pattern, sparkling under the light. The dial is additionally signed ""Beyer"" that is a well know watch distributor based in Zurich. They have had a long-standing relationship with Patek Philippe. The dial is in immaculate mint original condition.

The watch retains its original solid-gold winding crown with a Patek logo, and a scratch-free sapphire crystal.

The 22 mm wide bracelet is full-sized, thick and substantial. The watch would fit up to 7 1/2"" (193 mm) size wrist, the clasp closes tight as new and has 3 positions to adjust it's length. This highly collectible timepiece would be an excellent financial investment, always raising its value.

It is ready to wear and enjoy, and to grace your vintage watches collection.

The photos have been taken of the actual watch offered for sale. No box or papers are coming with the watch, but I guarantee its 100% authenticity.
