Mid 19th Century, on paper, anonymous, subject was the great grandson of Patrick Henry and lost his life on April 27, 1870 when the dome of the Virginia Capital Building collapsed. In a period oval frame which has on verso the label of Louis Franck, Carver and Gilder, Richmond, Virginia. Includes a 1915 pamphlet describing the disaster and some biographical information. 21h x 17w Condition: Some fading and foxing.
