<B>Partially Printed Confederate Parole for a Federal Prisoner-of-War,</B></I> one page, 6.75" x 4.25", Brashear City, Louisiana, June 24, 1863. Datelined in print at "Headquarters, C.S. Forces, South of Red River", this document records the "Parole of Honor" as pledged by Private Samuel Ford, Co. H, 6th New York Volunteers. In addition to Ford's signature are those of his commanding officer, R.C. Cushing, and a Confederate aide-de-camp, A.I. Watt. Split folds repaired with archival tape, light soiling. Overall very good condition.
