<B>Partially Printed Colonial Ship's Document</B></I> signed "<I>Torrington</B></I>", "<I>Tho Frankland</B></I>", "<I>Winnington</B></I>" and "<I>Brinkley</B></I>", one page with verso docketing, 11" x 16.25", likely London, August 10, 1732, in the name of the Lord High Admiral of Great Britain, this certificate commands: "<I>Suffer the Ship (alias Sloop) Maryann of Boston Temple Chevallier</B></I> <I>Master Burthen about ninety tons having no Guns Navigated with eight men Six His Majesty's subjects Plantation Built and Bound for Canso and from thence to the Streights to pass with her Company, Passengers, Goods & Merchandise without any Let, Hindrance, Seizure or Molestation...</B></I>". The document's title is within a wonderfully engraved maritime border topped by a British man 'o war under sail, complete with red Admiralty seal and two blue tax stamps. Scalloped upper edge and uneven sides as made, soiling and some fading as expected. Good condition.
