Parker EH Boxlock Double Shotgun, #57374, 10 ga. on No. 2 frame, 30'' barrels both choked Extra Full, blue finish, case-hardened frame, factory checkered walnut pistol-grip stock, with Deeley-type release forend. Mfg'd in 1889. Damascus barrels have been professionally sleeved in the chopper lump fashion utilizing the original rib. This is a Grade 2 gun made during the period when originally called E Grade. Top of game rib is marked ''Parker Bros. Makers. Meriden Conn.'' The word Damascus has been neatly removed and over-applied with the word ''Special Steel''. Condition is fine to near excellent as modified retaining approx. 98% blue/black finish. Case-colored action sports typical Grade 2 style engraving and retains approx. 60% muted case colors. Checkered stock and forend show light flattening to checks, and minor pressure dings from use. Original factory buttplate is retained and shows just light use. Bottom of barrels are marked 2-7/8 indicating the chamber !
