Parker Bros 10 ga Exposed Hammer Shotgun Early High Grade D
Here is a project worth doing .. Early High Grade D 10 ga side by side
Exposed hammers could do with some tlc.
Early serial number 46392 indicates a 1885 - 86 Manufacture period - So 140 YEARS OLD !!!
Overall gun is very dark - needs cleaning for a start.. Wood rear stock is all good
with no visable cracks.. butt pad has disntergrated and needs replacing.
The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with splinter forend, capped pistol grip, straight comb
Markings: The top of the barrel rib is marked PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN
CONN. DAMASCUS STEEL. The left of the barrel lug is marked 46392.
The barrel flats are marked PATD. APR. 11. 1876 nd PATD JUNE 25 1878
DC monogram, 5 14 and 3.
Each lockplate has PARKER BROS and D2 Grade scroll and border engraving.
The water table is marked 46392 and PATD MAR. 16. 1875. and PATD APR 11
1876 plus SEP 3 1872
The bottom tang is marked 46392.
The top of the forend iron is marked 46395. The forend lever assembly is marked
PAT MAR 26 1878.
Left side barrel has a small dent on underside about 6 in from end.
Barrels are 30 inch long and the bores are gray with scattered light-moderate
erosion and pitting.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 5% of its metal finish.
Most surfaces have strong engraving and is finely done.
Right hand side hammer is missing the screw that holds it to side.
There is surface oxidation. There are scattered light nicks, scuffs and scratches.
The action shows operational wear and the barrels lock up to the receiver with play.
The shotgun features dual triggers and an extractor.
Comes with a hard case - canvas covered with leather trim - Case is in as is condition.. see pictures.

If shipping is required for any purchase an additional charge will occur the day the item has been shipped. We ship at cost via Canada Post. We aim to have items out the door within 10 days after auction close. We are NOT responsible for damage during shipping. All items are sent by Canada Post or UPS depending on location, size of parcel and regulations. We don't guarantee delivery times and will not refund shipping charges for parcels that are not delivered by a specific date.
Items over $200 will be insured and a signature 18+ is required (unless under $200 or going by letter mail).
Ammunition will now be shipped exclusively with UPS. We must ship Ammunition and Firearms to the address on file with the CFO. Please ensure that you have a UPS delivery agent in your area prior to bidding, as UPS does not cover many rural areas. PLEASE SEE LOT 0 FOR FULL DETAILS AND TO CHECK YOUR POSTAL CODE! Recurring problem payers will be banned from future sales. Bidders are responsible for full payment of all their purchases at the drop of the hammer. Our Consignors are paid based on the hammer price. We will attempt to charge your credit card partial amounts until the amount is paid in full. Any purchase which has not been fully paid will be resold at the next available opportunity. Our normal commission charge will apply on re-sale. Any balance remaining unpaid after the resale will be referred to our collection agency, and or small claims court.

KOS Auctions will not return or refund money if an item is not exactly in the same condition as listed in online listing. Firearm ratings in the online listing are subjective and are of visual opinion, no mechanical inspection or test firing is undertaken by KOS. Any concern must be addressed with a recognized gunsmith prior to firing any firearm.
CANADIAN BIDDERS: Firearm and Ammunition purchasers require a valid P.A.L. (Possession and Acquisition License). All restricted and prohibited firearms are registered with the Canadian Firearms Program and will be transferred to the purchaser following the completion of the sale and receipt of full payment. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to determine that they have the correct category of license for the intended purchase prior to bidding. You will require a P.A.L. for all Prohibited/Restricted/Non-Restricted category firearms. No P.A.L. is required for Antique category firearms.
Ammunition and Firearms must be shipped to an address on file with the CFO. Ammunition and Firearms cannot be shipped in the same box.
Ammunition will now be shipped exclusively with UPS. We must ship Ammunition to your address on file with the CFO. Please ensure that you have a UPS delivery agent in your area prior to bidding, as UPS does not cover all rural areas. We do not ship ammunition to the USA.
Any items that are purchased that we are not able to deliver/ or you don’t have a valid license to possess will be sold at the next opportunity, regular commission charges apply to that secondary sale.
As we are selling Firearms and Ammunition it is imperative that bidders/customers provide us their correct information. We require your full correct name as shown on your PAL, PAL number, date of birth, the mailing address that is associated with your PAL. Customers who fail to do so, or who need the paperwork restarted due to an error on their part will be charged an administrative fee of $25.00 per lot. U.S.A./INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS:
Please be advised that we cannot ship any sort of firearm, directly to USA or International buyers. Buyers must use a third-party exporter for these items.
We cannot ship receivers, ammunition/primers/primed brass, air guns or grenades to USA or International buyers. These cannot be shipped by us or an exporter. Do not bid on these items.
All USA and International bidders will receive an email that requests bidder to agree to the USA and International bidder terms and conditions. Accounts will not be approved until the bidder has responded that they have read, understand and accept these terms. You have sole responsibility for your purchases. Please check with your governing body and Borderview to ensure your intended purchase is importable, as well as the third party exporter to ensure they will be able to export to your country, this should be done prior to bidding. Not all firearms are able to be imported/exported Internationally. Note that any items that have been purchased but are deemed “not importable/exportable” will be sold at the next opportunity. Regular commission charges apply to that secondary sale.
If you are unable to complete the transaction within 6 months, the lots will be sold at the next auction. You will be charged regular commission on the resale.

KOS Auctions nor the Consignor makes any representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the title, merchant ability, fitness or condition of the property or as to the correctness of description, genuineness, attribution, provenance or period of the property or as to whether the purchaser acquires any copyrights or other intellectual property rights in lots sold or as to whether a work of art is subject to the artist's moral rights or other residual rights of the artist. All Firearms and Ammunition are sold as Collector lots only. Fitness to fire or otherwise discharge the Firearm or Ammunition is expressly denied by KOS Auctions. A competent Gunsmith should be consulted before attempting to use or fire any Firearm or Ammunition. The Purchaser expressly acknowledges and agrees that in no event shall KOS Auctions or its associated companies be liable for any damages including without limitation any compensatory, incidental or consequential damages.
The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging.
