Parker 8-gauge double-barrel exposed hammer shotgun, 32-1/4” barrels, G-grade, checkered pistol grip stock, 3-1/4” chambers, Damascus steel barrels, originally choked “Cylinder” and “Full”. Factory letter states “Case hard butt in old fashioned forend, with 14-1/8” pull, drop 2-11/16”, weight 14lbs 4 oz, original price $120. Shipped to Parker Company’s New York office. The gun originally was ordered with 36” barrels, and now have been professionally set back. The stock shows the addition of a hard-rubber recoil pad. The stock now measures 13-3/4” to the end of the wood. 14-3/4” to the end of the pad. The barrels show 60-80% original brown and Damascus finish, some thinning at the edges, some light erosion and pinprick pitting, and some light cleaning on the bottom left barrel. The action shows 50-70% case hardening with some very vivid colors on the locks, thinning at the edges and bottom of the frame and slight drifting to silver. The triggerguard shows 20-30% thinning original blue. The stock is good to very good with some slight wear to the checkering on the forend. Some slight scratches, mars, normal aging and use.
