Paper Money F-352. $1 Treasury Note. Series of 1891. CGA graded Gem Uncirculated 65. <b>Bright and fresh. A true Gem quality example of this emission, which the Treasury issued with the option of redemption in simply "Coin," without designation as to which form of coin the banks at the time were required to provide in exchange for the currency. This short-lived series was printed for circulation until 1898, and then retired. Famous Civil War generals and cabinet officials were depicted on most denominations.
