Included in this lot we have a hand woven Papago Native American coil basket with lid originating from the mid 20th century. The basket displays traditional coil style hand woven basket. The Papago Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert), are located in Arizona and are known for their weaving skill. This basket shows yucca and bear grass construction with geometric designs across the piece. The basket was made by Delphine Stephens with information on the maker and basket. The basket shows good condition overall with some wear across the exterior. The basket measures 10" in diameter by 4" tall.
