Pan-American Exposition Cloth Lithograph
Pan-American Exposition Cloth Lithograph. Exquisite color lithography became the medium of choice right at the turn of the century for advertising and novelty items. This was just in time for the Pan-American Exposition held in Buffalo, New York in 1901. Here we present one of the most breathtaking pieces to survive out of that historical event. This lithograph on cloth, made and copyrighted by H. A. Meldrum and Co., measures 20.5" x 20.75" and is in exceptional condition. Only three tiny stains appear near the bottom and they are mentioned only for accuracy as they melt away into the graphic. The dark green background only enhances the scene of buffalo with Niagara Falls in the background. An inset, graphically illustrating an Indian camp appears near the bottom. A gold framed effect completes the and enhances the graphic.
