Issued to and signed on attached stock assignment by John Hay Whitney (1904 - 1982), colloquially known as "Jock" Whitney, was U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom, publisher of the New York Herald Tribune, and a member of the Whitney family. Hole punch and perf cancelled with the latter slightly affecting the "Whi" in Whitney's signature. Fine.
