Pamphlet entitled correspondence between the elate Commodore James Barron and Commodore Decatur Which lead to the unfortunate meeting of the 22nd of march, printed Russell and Gardner, of Boston, printed 1820. Concerning a duel. The pamphlet is stained and loosening on the binding. And is hand signed “Reverend J. T. Kirkland” in the right corner. This was one of America’s most famous duels in which Decatur was mortally wounded. His funeral was attended by President James Monroe. From the William R. Orbelo Collection. Est: $300 - $600

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
