This is a beautifully hand painted Pairpoint Limoges pitcher that is simply magnificent. It stands approximately 15 3/4" tall, and the Art Nouveau shape is apparent in the relief work on the handle and base. Gorgeous yellow flowers on a rich cranberry-colored body. Gold decorated mouth, handle, and accents around the base. The condition is very good-to-excellent. There are no chips, cracks, scratches, or repairs, and just one minor manufacturing flaw to the porcelain finish, on one of the gold-trimmed scalloped feet. A closeup photo has been provided for your review. Another example of this exquisite pitcher can be seen in Mary Frank Gaston's book, Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain, Third Edition, page 370, plate 953. Marked with the green overglaze Pairpoint Limoges decorating mark, found in use during the early 1900s. An outstanding piece of Limoges, for the serious collector.
