These barbotine vases are in excellent condition! They are stamped EG on the bottom (Edouard Gille from Paris), so they were probably made in the late 1800's. There is another number on the bottom, but it is illegible. The diameter of the opening is 3 1/8, while the height is 7 3/4. Please email for more pictures or information.

Barbotine is the French version of Majolica. It is a fine ceramic, made from clay which can be worked to an incredibly realistic form. The flowers on these pieces look fresh and natural.
