Pair of percussion dueling/target pistols signed Robinson, Phila. Approx. .45 caliber smoothbore, 9-5/8” heavy octagon barrels, 15-1/4” overall. Back action locks. Adjustable set triggers. Case hardened locks in breech with blued mounts, brown damascene stripped barrels, half stocked in original case with accessories. The pistols show wide double gold bands at breech and good quality engraving. The pair are nicely stocked in walnut and both pistols remain in original very good plus to near fine condition with 90% plus original brown with lighting stripes on barrels. 80-90% original case hardened colors just stoning slightly 50-60% original blue thinning on triggerguards. The stocks are very good plus with 75-85% varnish, some scratches, mars, marks, nothing serious and mostly in the varnish. Checkering still sharp. The actions are crisp, one pistol is not staying on full cock. And the pair show original to the period German silver and brass mounted correct ramrods. The pair are retained in their original to the period purple velveteen-line partition style case which is in very good condition just showing some slight fading, wear at contact points, slight fraying,
