Pair of percussion dueling/target pistol’s cased with full accessories and gold inlaid on the barrels “Cannon A Torordu”. The pistols are French in style and measure 17” overall with 10 ½” barrels of approximately .45 caliber and thebarrels show a bright brown finish with French gray or bright locks and mounts with blued trigger guards. The stocks are nicely fluted and carved. The condition is near fine with just some minor normal aging. The actions are crisp and bothpistols are equipped with set triggers. The pair is contained within an original case inlaid with fancy brass and remaining in very good to near fine condition. The interior of the case shows its original lining and is very good plus with justslight fading. The case contains a full complement of accessories with correct mold. A working key to the case is also included. The pair would date about 1850-1870 Est.: $7,000-$14,000
