Pair of percussion dueler/target pistols in French style inside of case marked Verney, Lyon. The pair measures 17” overall with 10” barrels in .46 caliber rifled. The barrels are finely fluted and engraved with brightblue and no Belgian proofs visible. The locks and mounts are also engraved to match and finished in French gray or satin. The stocks are finely relief carved and of a dark hardwood probably ebony. The pistols are infine to near excellent original condition with 95% plus bright original finish with just some slight discoloration and no evidence of firing or use with finish on each nipple. The case is finely fitted in theFrench style showing a green velveteen lining. The original accessories are retained and are described as follows. The mold is the correct caliber and is in near fine condition and the mallet is a black hardwoodcarved to match the stocks and is also probably ebony and it shows a couple of tap marks.
