Pair of large brass estribos (covered stirrups), Spanish colonial (early 1800s). 2144 grams, each 10-1/2" x 5" x 4". Basically backless brass shoes, with pointed and upturned toes, latch-bar on tops flanked by a design of natives in headdresses, triangular holes in bottom (one cracked), worn and patinated but intact. Found in Colombia, with photo-certificate.
