Pair of high quality percussion Officer’s type pistols signed J. Manton & Sons, London. In their original case with accessories showing engraved crest on lid. The pistols measure 12 ½” overall with 6 ¾” medium weight octagon barrel of .60 caliber smooth bore with swivel ram rods. The pair shows nicely engraved locks and mounts. The metal has been cleaned to bright on barrels, traces of case hardening on locks. The socks are very goodplus with crisp edges and checkering. The stocks show minor dings and scratches but most of the varnish is retained. Both trigger guards show some blue and there is some light surface rust from poor storage. Thecase is in good condition with some normal fading, fraying and impressions from contact. A Sykes patent bag flask in very good condition is included along with proper mold, rod, accessory box and two (2) correctcompartment covers. The exterior of the case is dark stained oak with brass mounts in good condition with some normal staining and aging.
