Pair of elliptical barrel Blunderbuss pistols of French style with finger release snap bayonets, signed M. Viot. The pair measure approximately 12-7/8" overall with 7" barrels that measure 1-5/8" across the outerdimensions of the elliptical barrels. The pair are iron mounted with light engraving. They are full stocked to the muzzles in a light colored fruitwood, showing silver wire inlays with fancy intertwined initials behind the tang. The pair are in their original flintlock configuration, and 2 correct style horn tipped ramrods are included. Condition is very good+ with just normal aging, stocks are also very good with a small amount of the silver wire missing. The bayonets are springing out well and locking. The pair would date about 1799-1820s, during the high point of the Napoleonic era, and just the type an officer would carry for personaldefense. Est.: $4,000-$8,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
