Pair of early carved Pearl grips showing raised relief carving of steer head on right side. The grips are thick and show great iridescent and rainbow colors. The grips are in good to very good condition and show achip from the right bottom grip and a few small losses. The condition is very good plus overall and the carving is crisp. Joe Kiser and this cataloguer agree that these grips were carved between about 1915 in 1930probably supplied by one of the New York Colt allies. The interior of the grips shows 2 small metal placement pins in each grip which were meant to marry into holes drilled in the frame to keep the grips from sliding ormoving. The best pair of carved pearls for an early Colt Woodsman either Joe Kiser or this cataloger have ever seen. Est.: $1000-$2000
