Pair of contemporary Italian-made flintlock dueling pistols signed LePage in classic Empire period French form, serial #F02684 and #0F2677. Cased with full accessories. The pair measure 18” overall with 10-1/4” mediumto heavy weight octagon barrels of approx. .45 caliber rifled. The pistols show set triggers, checkered and carved stocks, browned barrels, iron sights, spurred guards, traps in butt in a shell design. Withclassic engraving and form reminiscent of the early 19th century. The pistols are in fine to near excellent condition showing some storage and minimal use. They are contained within a fitted French-style case withleather covered flask, loading rod, screwdriver, charger, and other small accessories. The exterior of the case is plain walnut. The case is in very good condition. A small number of these high-grade flintlocks were made on special order for the U.S. blackpower Shooting team through Val Forgette of Navy Arms 20-30 years ago according to our consignor’s information.
