Pair of cased dueling/target pistols signed on locks and barrels “Robin a Mexico”. The pistols measures 16-7/8” overall with 10-1/2” fluted octagon barrels, approx. .45 caliber rifled. Half stocks, satin grey finishedengraved locks and mounts. The pair are in good condition showing old reblued barrels of which 95-98% remains, some scattered erosion and pinprick pitting, staining and normal aging. The quality of the refinish is verygood and the edges kept sharp, signature good. The locks and mounts are in good to very good condition showing a light patina. The stocks are good with nice carving at the forends, normal aging, and some minorscratches, small imperfections. Pistol #1 is working but not staying on half cock. Pistol #2 is working. The pair are contained within their original to the period light rose colored velveteen-lined French-style casewith veneered rosewood exterior. The case retains its original mold, flask, oiler, lead dipper, combination tool, mallet, two cleaning rod, one brass driving rod, wood cap box, which is all the accessories the box
