Pair of Wedgwood Earthenware Feeding Cups
A classic blue and white transfer-printed decoration in the popular Chinoiserie taste of the period. The vessel is adorned with finely detailed landscape scenes depicting stylized gardens, pagodas, arched bridges, and small figures in pastoral settings. Such feeding cups were designed with a spouted form to assist invalids or those with limited mobility, combining practical function with decorative appeal. Each piece bears the impressed Wedgwood mark. One cup retains provenance labels from the Rubin Collection and Skinner Auctioneers. The second cup carries provenance stickers for the Rubin Collection and the Polikoff Collection.
