<td width="100%">
A magnificent pair of Burmese art glass vases in a satin finish,
10"(25cm) tall. Shading from pink to peach at the neck, with gilt
and enamel decoration, and applied clear satin glass handles.
Made around 1890, possibly by Webb. There are no makers
marks on the base, just the usual pontil mark. The gilding and
enamelling is in very good condition. The only flaws are some of
the bobbles where the handle has been applied to the body
have been chipped, and where the handle has been applied to
the neck appear to have a crack. This occurs on 3 of the 4
handles, and as these were applied by hand whilst the glass was
hot I suspect this happened during production. I have tried to
show this as best as I can on image 4. Can supply more photos
upon request.
