Pair of Scottish style Flintlocks pistols with rams horn shaped butts signed "MAC LEOD" with engraved locks, nicely silver inlaid stocks with etched decoration, flared muzzles in approx 60 cal. The pair measure 12-3/4"overall with 7-3/4" barrels. The breeches show British proofs and the locks have high quality water proof pans and rollers on the frizzens, circa late 18th to early 19th century. The pair are in very good condition with all original small parts and there is a Scottish coat of arms barely visible on the top portion of each stock surrounded by scrolls, crosshatch designs, thistles and other Scottish motifs. The original ramrodsand belt hooks are also retained. Pairs of Scottish Flints have all but vanished from the collectors market. Est.;$12,500-$25,000.
