<B>Pair of Engravings of Abraham & Mary Todd Lincoln by Sartain.</B></I> Each engraving measures 11.5" x 15.25", framed to an overall size of 14.75" x 18.75". Samuel Sartain lived, worked, and died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a well-known engraver of civic leaders, businessmen, and other notables who lived and worked in or around the Philadelphia area. Both of the portrait engravings offered here were accomplished in 1864. Each engraving shows noticeable foxing throughout, and some age toning. The frames are in good condition, with some chipping and scratching evident.
