Pair of rare Republic of Mexico Remington 1875 Single Actions with Buscadero rig. In the early 1880’s the Mexican government placed an order with Remington for 1,000 of their SAA’s.

a) S/N 9353, .45 LC, barrel trimmed to 5½ ", even with the end of the ejector web, barrel marked “19.” and with the Mexican Liberty Cap and sun burst, faint “RdeM” on cylinder, “10.91” on frame. CONDITION: bore is very good, iron is “gun metal gray” overall with small touches of blue, grips are aged to honey yellow, mechanically very good, front sight dove tailed into barrel, poorly crowned.

b) S/N 4328, .45 LC, barrel trimmed to 5½", even with the end of the ejector web, barrel is marked “187” and with the Mexican Liberty Cap and sun burst, marked “RdeM” on cylinder and frame, “10.91” on frame. CONDITION: bore is excellent, iron is plum with some strong blue, grips are aged honey yellow, front sight is well installed, 1 bolt stop notch is worn through.

Buscadero Rig holsters are Lawrence “jock straps” on late cartridge belt, in excellent condition, double buckle belt is solid.
