Pair of Newel Post Lights
These warriors are cast from spelter and retain the original gas cocks and an old copper-over-gold finish. They both stand on round bases of 13" diameter that feature dragons and lion heads. The warrior with the robe stands 50" high. His right arm, from the sleeve down, is a replacement carved wood. The line on the left forearm is part of the original casting and is meant to represent fabric. One of the wings from the horse on the helmet is missing. The warrior with the shield is 48" high and is in totally original condition. Note the line around the right thigh that is similar to the line of the left arm of the other figure. Opposing pairs of newel post lights such as these are very scarce, and these are as dramatic at you will ever find.
