Pair of Napoleonic era flintlock officer’s pistols signed Cub____ A Nante (remainder is illegible). The pair measure 13-3/8” overall, with 7-1/4” microgrooved rifle barrels of approx. .56 caliber showing swamped or flared muzzles, half stocks, iron mounts, set triggers, platinum lined pans and breech plugs, with original horn-tipped ramrods. The pair have broken hammers and are heavily rusted and completely out of the attic condition. By family tradition, the hammers were broken when French officer surrendered, and his pistols were returned. Interesting. Est: $1,250 - $2,500
