Pair of monkey puppets from the set of Captain Kangaroo. Monkey duo by classic toymaker Steiff are made of fuzzy brown fabric with light peach felt faces and short white beards. The heads are structured and the faces are nicely detailed, with glass eyes in golden brown. Their companions, the iconic Mister Moose and Bunny Rabbit puppets currently reside in the Smithsonian. Hand puppets fit the hand with hollow arms and a finger-size notch inside each to manipulate the head from within. Puppets measure 10.5'' from paw to paw and 14'' from top of ears to the slightly irregular edge of the cuff. Steiff tags have been removed from the ears. Some white staining to fur, else near fine.
