Pair of Germanic 18th century Flintlocks pistols with ornate cast brass mounts and finely figured eagle head butts. The pair measure 15-3/8” overall with 9” barrels of approx. 54 cal. smooth bore. The pistols are numbered 1 & 2 and show no makers mark or signature and possibly could have been made at a royal workshop. The metal surfaces show a light gray patina with good sharp engraving and just normal aging. The locksshow original small parts and hammers. The stocks are nicely carved and molded and are in very good condition showing a couple cracks, minor imperfections, small losses around pin holes but at least very goodoverall. The actions are working. The cast mounts are very well executed and show traces of original gold gilt. Horn tipped ram rods of correct style are included. Est.;$3,500-$7,000.
