Pair of German ornately engraved Smith & Wesson 5-screw DA revolvers with fancy carved grips, silver “L” on frames; .38 special cal., 4” barrels, custom re-blued finish, raised carved ivory grips, #V488321 and#V449541; both guns are in overall very good to fine condition as custom engraved and re-finished with matching engraving, grips, jeweled hammers and triggers, good bores, actions and matching condition; part of agroup of personal arms sold by General Curtis LeMay thru the Grant Boys Gun Shop in Costa Mesa, CA in the 1970’s; no documentation but factual according to collectors and knowledgeable parties; contained in a woodcasing, lined but not partitioned.
