A) Manufacturer: English Model: Flintlock Pistol
Manufactured circa 1720 to 1750. The pistol is signed "G. GILL/Richmond" ahead of the trigger along with three British proofs. The frame has a band of floral engraving and the trigger guard has an engraved floral blossom. The barrel tang and hammer are also engraved. It has a smooth bore screw on barrel with cannon type muzzle. The left side of the grip has a raised military motif silver inlay and the silver butt cap has a raised grotesque face. The ornate silver thumb rest has a raised military motif.

Good. The pistol has a balance between a bright appearance and a mottled gray patina showing some minor flash type pitting. The silver is fine. The grip is excellent with some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
