<td width="100%">
Pair of dinner plates from a service ordered by the Grand Duke of Baden whose arms appear in the borders. South a commission indicates the considerable export trade of the Parisian porcelain manufacturers. The plates are decorated by the transfer printing process patented by Francois Antoine Legros d' Anisy (1772-1849). The Legros d' Anisy decorations are noteworthy for their detail, clarity and general adaptation to the form which they embellish. The green transfer printed mark on the reverses of the plates includes the address of the Legros d' Anisy Manufactory at 9, rue de Cardran. The factory occupied those premises from the year of it's establishment, 1808, until 1818, thus permitting an exact dating of the decade of the production of the plates. Good Condition. 9" 1/2 inches in Diam.
