Pair of Colt Model 1849 Pocket percussion revolvers, .31 cal., 4” octagon barrels, accompanied by an un-finished wood box that was being made into a double casing with interior material and wood partitions to finish the job.The first gun, #117805 is in overall good condition showing all matching visible numbers, a dark patina to metal surfaces with some scattered spots of erosion, considerable original cylinder scene remaining, the action is working but thecylinder does not rotate, the grips are overall very good with considerable original varnish remaining. The second gun, #69160 is in overall good to very good condition showing a light grey patina to metal surfaces, all matching visibleserial numbers, crisp action, considerable original cylinder scene remaining and very good grips with considerable original varnish. The set contains a brass spread eagle powder flask, a Colt’s Patent bullet mold, two combination nipplewrenches/screwdrivers, an Eley cap tin, a cleaning rod, a case key and a couple misc. parts. A little further work on this project should result in a good looking pair of ’49 Pockets! (Antique). Est.: $1,800-3,600.
