A) This pair of matching pistols feature light scroll engraving on the frame with the left side marked "CHAS SORBY" in an oval panel and right side marked "WAKEFIELD". British proof marks are marked on the bottom of the frame directly ahead of the fold up trigger. Screw on smooth bore barrel and sliding bar hammer safety. Fitted with a checkered grip featuring a German silver diamond inlaid behind the upper tang. Complete with a partitioned case lined with green velvet, a Sykes powder flask, bullet mold/nipple wrench, brush, key, and Hicks percussion cap tin. The top of the lid has a brass circle inlay inscribed "MR. D.W. SOAMES./PINNER, MIDDLESEX.".

Very good as partially refinished, the barrel which has a smooth dark patina and a smooth mottled gray showing on the remaining metal surfaces, minor flash pitting and some light dings on the barrel. The grip is very fine with some minor dings and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically fine. The case is very good with two cracks on the lid, some minor handling marks and some minor wear on the lining. The accessories are all good or better.
