Two CDVs of Second Lieutenant Henry H. Willis of the 40th New York Infantry, ''Mozart Regiment.'' Inscription reads, ''Compliments of H.H. Willis, 40th NYV.'' Willis was commissioned as Second Lieutenant into the 40th New York and was subsequently captured at Cold Harbor in 1864. He was paroled and returned to service before mustering out. The 40th New York distinguished themselves as one of the 100 Fighting Regiments. Bottom of first image trimmed, slightly affecting inscription. Trimming to top of second image. Both very good.
